Keeping Well at Home TV - Fitness classes for older people

Gateshead Older People’s Assembly is promoting this new initiative, “Keeping Well at Home”, which is designed to reach older people who cannot access the Internet.  Keeping Well at Home is a television programme which will air on Freeview, Sky, and Virgin Media from 29th June 2020.

The programme will air several times each day and will show older people evidence-based exercises designed to help them maintain their flexibility, strength, and balance.

The presenters, Emma McGlen and Richie Paxton, are qualified Postural Stability Instructors who have been working with older people in Gateshead for many years.  The Gateshead Older People’s Assembly have worked closely with Emma and Richie for nearly five years and they know how passionate they are about helping older people maintain their health and independence.

They have created a page on their website with full details about Keeping Well at Home, including the broadcast times.  They would be most grateful if you could share this information with your networks as they would like to reach as many older people as possible.
