We held our second Christmas Fair on Saturday morning, and it was an excellent one, even better than last year.
Almost 200 people came into the library to browse the stalls, and buy donated and beautifully made crafts, cakes and cookies, jewellery and jams, lotions and potions. Our local photographic society took a table to let people know about the exciting work of their group. They took the photos we’re currently displaying around the library. I think we can all agree how much they add to the display in our library.
We drew our raffles – the big snuggly teddy, the Christmas cake and the box full of Christmas goodies are all going home with their lucky winners. Congratulations!
And of course there were the children’s crafts, always popular with our local young people, with Christmas ornaments to be made and Christmas cookies to be decorated and taken home.
There was a busy, happy atmosphere in the library, which is just the way we like it to be. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
You don’t have to wait for next Christmas we would love to see you regularly in the library. Call in, find a good book, enjoy some lively conversation, find a group or activity on our website and join in.
